Tla’Amin Nation soccer player, boxer and community leader
Born in Tla’Amin Nation in 1936, Adams quickly cemented himself as a natural athlete by excelling in multiple sports, particularly soccer. Named Golden Boy at a 1955 at a Tournament of Champions featuring over 200 players, Adams returned to Powell River to a heros welcome in his community.
A star in Powell River soccer circles through the 1950s and on, Adams is also a talented boxer, track and field athlete, gymnast and baseball player. In his retirement, Adams has been an active volunteer with various community organizations.
